For bass, I am catching them early in the morning and late evenings because of the heat. I am finding them on banks and lake points or deeper docks. I find a lot of bass in areas with rocks. I use shaky head hooks on main lake points with rocks and drop offs.
You can find bass on docks with rocks around them. I am catching them on 1.5 crank baits and 2.5 crank baits. A lot of people are catching bass deep, but I am finding them in 5 to 8 feet of water with crank baits.
Just after dark, I am catching bass on underwater lights and dock lights. Late in the evenings, look for the shad running; this will attract bass.
For crappie, we are catching them in river channel and timber from 12-15 down, and on the 155 Bridge at about the same depth.
Catfish are up in the shallows up against the rocks. The Villages Marina rocks and similar rocky areas are a good place to go for catfish.
Be safe on the water. Go slow under the bridges. Keep lights on at night and be careful of other boaters.
